Customer Due Diligence and Acceptance Department
Key Responsibilities
assess whether customer transactions are consistent with the customer’s declared business activities;
document the results and conclusions of customer due diligence reviews;
identify suspicious transactions in customers’ transaction activity;
submit suspicious transaction reports related to AML/CFT and sanctions to the Financial Intelligence Unit of Latvia;
process and assess Politically Exposed Person (PEP) alerts generated by the IT system as part of regular PEP screening;
present the results of customer due diligence reviews at the Bank’s collegial meetings on AML/CFT and sanctions risk management;
process requests from other credit institutions and financial institutions regarding customer transactions and prepare responses;
provide advice to colleagues on AML/CFT and sanctions matters within the scope of your responsibilities.
Required Skills
preferably higher education or ongoing higher education studies in economics, finance or banking;
previous experience in the financial sector will be considered an advantage;
willingness to learn, develop and enhance your knowledge in the field of AML/CFT and sanctions risk management;
good ability to express ideas in a structured, logical and comprehensive manner in writing when documenting customer due diligence reviews;
excellent command of Latvian and good command of English, sufficient for analysing and preparing documents;
ability to work effectively as part of a team while also making decisions independently;
strong analytical skills, accuracy and a high sense of responsibility.
