The bank's good deeds

During its operation, the bank has not only grown to become a powerful international institution providing financial services, but also a good example of how much may be achieved by the team driven by family virtues and a strong sense of heritage. Social responsibility of the bank and its employees is actively represented on a daily basis within the scope of a wide range of activities and projects.

The goal of the charity campaign "Angels over Latvia" is to raise funds for 312 children with special needs.

BluOr Bank traditionally organizes charity marathons twice a year – in spring and autumn.

The Children's Clinical University Hospital has received a modern, child-friendly device for eye examinations – this can also be used as the headline when the article is opened.

From May 15 to June 18, BlueOrange employees participated in a charity event by keeping a healthy lifestyle.

On 15 July 2020 the project supported by BlueOrange — the travelling film-exhibition “Izgaismot Latviju” received an award as the Annual Exhibition from the Latvian Museum Association.

With the support of BlueOrange Bank an aesthetic and explanatory recreational site was established four years ago on the right side of Lucavsala, on the shore of Daugava river, with 15 trees of different varieties planted and three original benches designed by Latvian craftsman Arturs Immermanis arranged on the lawn.

Continuing the responsible tradition followed by the Bank, on 5 June BlueOrange employees joined the Latvia State Blood Donor centre (VADC) at the off-site donor day near the Freedom Monument.

On 25 February 2020, a ceremony for the Grand Music Award 2019 was held at the Latvian National Opera, with winners announced in eight categories.

Due to the most recent technology deployment, BlueOrange found an opportunity to present 26 PCs to families under the auspices of the SOS Children's Villages association Latvia, as well as socially disadvantaged families in various cities throughout Latvia.

There used to be just an empty field on the right side of Lucavsala, on the very bank of the River Daugava.

To facilitate the growth of young professionals meeting the highest world standards, BlueOrange Bank has allocated more than EUR 35,000 to support the study program, while ensuring the payment of two scholarships over the next four academic years.

The film and the exhibition “Izgaismot Latviju” are a gift to Latvia on its centenary from the Imants Ziedonis Museum and BlueOrange Bank.

The nationwide campaign “Izgaismo Latviju” was supported by BlueOrange Bank and the insurance joint stock company “BTA Baltic Insurance Company”, giving an opportunity to all enthusiasts who love their country and want to explore it by following the 1,836-kilometre route, even just a small part of it, along the Latvian border.

Continuing the tradition established last year, in collaboration with the State Blood Donor Centre, on 27 February the second Blood Donation Day took place at BlueOrange.

As a socially responsible bank, BlueOrange diverts funds intended for client gifts to meaningful activities with added value.

On a sunny autumn day, BlueOrange in cooperation with the State Blood Donor Centre organised a Blood Donor Day on the Dome Square.

At the end of 2016, BlueOrange employees gathered together to sum up the results of the departing year.
