29 July 2020
From May 15 to June 18, BlueOrange employees participated in a charity event by keeping a healthy lifestyle. The bank invited its employees to participate in a charity marathon — for one month on workday evenings and holidays to engage in running, walking, riding a bicycle, skateboarding or roller skating and record the covered distance in the Endomondo app. At the end of the month, the bank, using a special formula, converted the covered kilometres into Euro currency and the funds were donated for the support of 11-year-old Kartina’s surgery.
Kartina is an active and curious, eleven-year-old girl who also loves sports — she plays wheelchair tennis. Due to the girl’s severe diagnosis, rehabilitation sessions, surgeries, orthoses are her everyday. The girl needs an another routine surgery to improve her health.
A total of 49 bank employees participated in the BlueOrange charity, covering together the distance of 11 856 kilometres (of which 5 417 km were covered on foot and 6 439 km — by bicycle, scooter and roller skates).
