AS BlueOrange Bank becomes the new registered name of Baltikums Bank

September 11, 2017

On 11 September, Baltikums Bank AS is changing its legal name to AS BlueOrange Bank. This concludes the process of introducing the bank’s new brand name, BlueOrange.

The bank started using BlueOrange as its new brand in January 2017, with considerable success. By offering contemporary, innovative service and state of the art financial solutions coupled with a personable approach to client service, the brand has gained considerable recognition and acclaim among clients in just 8 months.

Along with the new brand, the bank began actively offering services to the domestic market. Special banking products and services have been developed for legal entities and individuals. BlueOrange happens to be the first commercial bank in Latvia to start offering free services for retail clients, with the added benefit of interest on positive card balance, and money back on purchases at petrol stations worldwide. Meanwhile, businesses are free to make unlimited euro payments throughout Europe at no charge.

The bank is actively developing technologies that save time, human resources, and money, which makes free everyday banking service a logical step forward, according to the bank’s leadership.

BlueOrange is also the first among Latvian banks to come to its clients. Opening of a bank account and delivery of a payment card to a client’s home or other convenient location is now available free of charge throughout Riga. A new BlueOrange Client Service Centre has been opened for added convenience on Jēkaba iela 2, in the heart of Old Riga.

The bank has introduced a special client loyalty programme called BlueOrange Life, which is the first of its kind in Latvia to offer money back, an opportunity highly valued by our new clients.

The change of the bank’s legal name will cause no inconvenience to clients. It does not affect the company’s registered office or other details. BlueOrange partners and clients will not need to revise the terms of cooperation or conclude novation agreements.

The bank was founded in Latvia in 2001. It currently ranks among the top 10 local banks in terms of total assets, employing over 330 staff.
